BRICK BY BRICK
Life is about developing your passions while you pursue your purpose. I began my entrepreneurial journey at the age of six. Throughout the journey, I am fortunate to have earned many accolades from hard work and train for the 2019 NFL Draft, while earning 10+ semi-pro championships post college. Check out my story below on how I started Too Cool Water Company LLC.

My Story
Starting a water company could seem so far away when you do not know how to get started. There are times you may envision doing something, but may not have the guidance, resources, and financial capabilities to achieve your goals. I grew up on Tamarind Avenue, in West Palm Beach, Florida for 15 years. While growing up in a low-income and high crime community, I was determined to use my environment as motivation to make it out.
I dedicated my daily journey to my academics, my athletic career, my entrepreneurial endeavors, and community involvements through being discipline, coachable, perseverance, commitment, and a consistent work ethic. Throughout this daily grind, I earned multiple academic honors, awards, and recognitions. With numerous accolades from on and off the football field, I always recognize that life is bigger than me. I have established long term relationships with people who were a part of my journey that are also inspirations to me launching Too Cool Water Company LLC.
The nickname "Too Cool," was given to me by my brother Antwuan and a spiritual brother, named Poppy since 2012. During my second year of college, attending Florida A&M University, I had gotten a break from the football season to visit home. After spending an amazing seven days home, it was time to return back to Tallahassee, Florida. Within an hour of being on the interstate driving, I received a phone call from Poppy, "TOO COOL!! What's up big bro, where are you? Can you come pick me up and take me to Ma house." My mother was a second mother to Poppy. I stated to Poppy that I unfortunately could not take him because I left town. Minutes later, my brother Antwuan called me, asking if I could pick him up and take him to hang out with Poppy. The two of them were the closets of friends. During my drive, I was then four hours into my drive, when I got the call from a close friend that Poppy was sadly shot in the chest multiple times and lost his life. Poppy's sister was being attacked by a male and he attempted to help protect his sister from a domestic violence situation. After that call, I remember making a U-turn and driving all of the way back to West Palm Beach to comfort and express my condolences to Poppy's family and mother, my brother, my mother, as he was dear to our hearts.
During 2022, when the vision came to start my own water company, my brother Antwuan asked me what am I going to name my company? I had no clue, but an idea of "G Aqua or G Water." Without any hesitation, he responded saying call it Too Cool. I remember almost wanting to cry in that moment. The nickname "Too Cool" had been so special that only my brother, Poppy, and their closest friends in the neighborhood would call me Too Cool. After processing so many thoughts, it was time to bring Too Cool to the world. With gratitude and honor, I am grateful to include on each of our Too Cool water bottles that it is inspired by Antwuan and Poppy.
My story has been a living testimony and I encourage you to use your pain and turn it into your passion. Use your passion to bring joy to others no matter what it may be. Through your story, people can become inspired to become a better version of themselves. I strive to continue expanding this purpose-driven mission of Too Cool through my life story and bring many others together to make an impact. Thank you for your time towards reading my story. - Gerald Hearns
